Blog Post (editing)

This week I am focusing on editing. I am editing my film opening this week and editing is kind of hard. I haven't finished filming but I was told to start editing just so I could have something to show so I started yesterday and I will be able to finish filming by the weekend I hope. And then next week I will be able to finish editing the whole entire film. I want this production to look very professional. I want it to seem like it was made by an actual production team and editors.

Blog Post #2 2/19

As of today I have completed two things. I have completed the storyboard and the final script. I am going to finish at least one more assignment by tonight and I will have all of Sunday to complete the rest of the assignments. I do not expect to get an A on these assignments but I am just hoping that I will get a good enough grade to pass this class.

Blog Post #1 2/19

This week I was allowed to make up multiple assignments to bring up my grade. I have until Sunday to get them turned in. I have already completed the story board. So over the weekend I am going to have to work my butt off to get the rest of the assignments completed. I will have to work on the film pitch, blog posts, final script, essay, and filming. I think I will be able to complete all the assignments. I am already halfway done with the film script. I should be done with the film script today and almost done with the film pitch today.

blog post #3 2/5

Today I tried customizing my blog. I tried to make it have this eerie and feeling of uncertainty because my film project is going to be a horror film. So I decided to have the background of the blog posts as this dark place in the woods with a lake in the back of it with dark trees in the night sky. I am currently trying to figure out how I can put a character at the top of the page so it would give a more scary vibe to my blog. I was thinking of putting a famous horror film character like Michael Myers, Jason Voorhees, chucky, or Freddy Krueger. I want my blog to be able to show what my blog is going to be about before you even read anything.

Case Study: The Making Of “Halloween” (1978) By: Brandon Bajwa   HISTORY/TARGET AUDIENCE: John Carpenter First got the idea of the hit film “Halloween” when he got a story idea from another film producer Irwin Yablans, and with that idea he wrote the script in 10 days with the help from Debra Hill. He got the idea of the antagonist of the film (Michael Myers) from a local legend; fifteen years previously he murdered his teenage sister, Judith, on Halloween night, and has been incarcerated in an asylum since. The release date for this film was on October 25, 1978. Based on the fact that most of the main characters in that film are teenagers/young adults, I would say that the target audience for this film would be teenagers and young adults. PRODUCTION: The film “Halloween” was filmed in Haddonfield, Illinois. The filmmakers specifically chose this place because It is a peaceful, everyday suburban setting. The director of the film was John Carpenter, but the actual producer of th

Today I am a little behind on my work. I've just completed my case study on the film "Halloween" (1978). I really enjoyed doing that case study which I really think I wouldn't because of how boring I thought it would be. I feel like I only liked doing it so much was because of the film that I chose. I learned that "Halloween" was a low budget movie with only a budget of $325,000. John Carpenter(director) and Debra Hill (producer) wrote the entire script for the movie in 10 days. The film was shot in Haddonfield Illinois. It took around 22 days to shoot the entire film which doesn't really seem like a long time to film an entire movie. The running time for the film is 91 minutes. I took 3 pages(not including work cited page) to complete my case study.
